We were in summer, very close to the summer’s solstice, meaning the Sun was going to wake up early in the morning, and so I. This day was a bit special, because we planned, with some others photographers, to meet in the mountains to both photograph landscape and animals (there is a lot of chamois here), but as I’m not really equipped for animal-photography, I stuck with landscape.
Climbing the mountain in the dark not as difficult as one would think: once the eyes are adapted to darkness the top of the Vosges are quite illuminated (except in the middle of a night without Moon).
When the sun raised, it painted orange the clouds and the sky, giving some impressionist-like painting. Shortly after sun rising though a thick fog lifted, putting an end to the session.
